Founded to Serve Our Community

Amistad Health was founded in 2005 as a not-for-profit, faith-based organization aimed to address the growing number of community members lacking health insurance, a primary care provider, and a place to receive affordable, quality medical attention.

Our center is a Federally Qualified Health Center, a federal designation assigned to non-profit or public health care organizations that serve predominantly uninsured or underserved populations.

We are located in and serve a designated Medically Underserved Area/Population.

As an FQHC, Amistad Health is committed to:

  • Providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
  • Offering services to all persons regardless of their ability to pay.
  • Charging for services on a sliding fee scale based on family size and income.

Amistad Health is an FTCA-deemed facility, which means we are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act to ensure quality care and legal protection.
