Ms. Vanessa Gallegos Griffin is Amistad's Director of Behavioral Health and a Licensed Professional Counselor.  A native of Rockport, Texas, she attended Texas State University at San Marcos and the University of Texas at San Antonio.  She is a bilingual therapist with experience in individual and group psychotherapy for children, teens, and adults and uses an integrative approach in therapy and modifies treatment and interventions based on the individual's needs.

Ms. Gallegos Griffin is a proud new mother and in her spare time enjoys church-going, volunteering, exercising, and trying new foods.

When asked about her goals, she answered

"I strive to be the best version of myself and a good example to others. I also strive to improve the mental health of my clients and teach them skills to practice daily showing care and compassion to themselves during the challenging seasons in their lives."
